Born on January 26th 2009 at CGH Medical Center. Xavier Delgado weighed 7 lbs, 7 ounces at birth and was 21 inches long in length. The Xavier Delgado Awareness Foundation was incorporated on March 22nd 2011. This foundation and website was formed to honor our son and help build his legacy since he will NEVER get the chance to do it himself. See we will never know what he would have grown up to become or the things he could have achieved. We are trying to build Xavier’s legacy and in doing so helping raise awareness to help other children from being abused. Xavier was born on Jan 26th 2009 was doing everything he should at his monthly checkups and was always smiling and happy. Then on September 24th 2009 our lives changed forever!!! We were told by the doctors he was the victim of Shaken Baby Syndrome/Abusive Head Trauma. On September 29th 2009 Xavier died from his abuse.

The Xavier Delgado Awareness Foundation is a non profit organization meaning no one gets paid. It is ran by his parents family and friends who love and miss him very much!! One of our goals is to get a law changed to make watching a video to ALL newborn parents mandatory along with signing a contract. Statictics show that as much as 47% of head abuse trauma cases have decreased in states that these laws are in place. Getting billboards out PSA’s or Commercials. As well as I am being allowed to get my foot in the door at our local hospital to speak at a Baby Beginnings Class.
